If one word had to be used to describe Zoro, it would be stubborn. Or determined, depending how you looked at things.
The teenager’s temper had always been frightfully short, which often got him in trouble growing up. Overall though, his attitude had always been laid back, almost lazy, which might’ve explained his ability to fall asleep almost on a whim. Forced to take kendo classes to help “develop his patience”, he quickly grew to love the sport, having a natural talent. It didn’t do much for his patience or attitude, though it did give him a way to work off his anger.
Zoro actually has a good head on his shoulders, and is more rational than most when making decisions that matter, but for the most part he’s seen as the lazy, unmotivated student napping at the back of the class. His love for sleeping seems to be matched only by his love for food.
